Vision
The Community Development Department envisions the continued development of a healthy and vibrant City with a strong economic base, better jobs, improved shopping areas and a wide range of diversified housing opportunities for the citizenry.
Mission
The Community Development Department shall assist in the implementation of the City's Comprehensive Plan by facilitating responsible and well-planned growth.

The Community Development Department values a balanced approach to development, which incorporates sound transportation planning, protection of the City's valuable environmental resources, and promotion of high-quality architecture and landscaping.
