Exciting news for the Arbor Day 5K Root Run on May 18! Access to post-run Foam Pit is free for 5K runners and 1-Mile Fun Run participants. Visit the registration table before the run to get your access band.

Palm Coast Arbor Day rescheduled for May 18

The Arbor Day 2013 celebration, along with the 5K Root Run/Walk and 1 Mile Flutter Foam Fun Run/Walk, have been rescheduled for Saturday, May, 18, at Central Park in Town Center (NOT at Waterfront Park, as previously announced)..

Race packets can be picked up now through May 17 at the Community Center during business hours, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. There will be no late pickup on May 17. Online registration for the race has been extended until May 16th at 5pm.

Central Park is at 975 Central Ave., Palm Coast, in Town Center - off State Road 100 and just north of Flagler-Palm Coast High School.

Welcome to the City of Palm Coast's Arbor Day site. The 2013 festivities will be held at Central Park in Town Center kicking off the day's events at 8:00am the 5K Root Run/Walk then taking flight at 8:45am the 1 Mile Flutter Foam Fun Run/Walk. Arbor Day 2013 officially opens at 9:00am by accepting can goods and pet food items in exchange for a three gallon native hardwood tree. Don't miss the Native Butterfly Release taking off at 11:00am held at center stage.

The 2013 Service Learning, S.T.E.M. & Innovative Teaching Expo is a showcase of K-12 student classroom discoveries, many of which were made possible by the Flagler County Education Foundation's Dell Trayer Grant Program. Teachers engage students and inspire learning using innovative teaching techniques that include service learning concepts that invite community involvement and increase student performance in science, technology, engineering and math.
